Dementieva falls to Zvonareva in Semifinals

It was the No. 1 seed, Elena Dementieva against the No. 4 seed, Caroline Wozniacki in the 2008 WTA Fortis Championships played in Luxembourg Oct. 20-26. Dementieva won the exciting close match in a 3rd set tie-break, 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-4).

It was a straight sets loss, 4-6, 4-6 for Elena Dementieva. Jankovic proved to be too tough in that match, as Dementieva just couldn’t pull it together enough to get the job done.
