Ivanovic loses in the Semifinals

Sexy Serbian tennis cutie pie, Ana Ivanovic, actually won two matches in a tournament, something she has been able to do only twice in seven tournaments since winning the French Open in May. That win had vaulted her to a No. 1 world ranking. She has since dropped to No. 4.
Ivanovic had a bye in the 1st round, then defeated 16th ranked Marion Bartoli of France 6-2, 6-4. In the 3rd round she beat 57th ranked Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic 6-1, 6-4.
But the win streak ended at two matches in this tournament. Ivanovic ran into a tough opponent in the Quarterfinals, No. 9 ranked Venus Williams of the USA. It was a close 3-set match, but Ivanovic lost 6-4, 3-6, 4-6.
Hopefully this will be the beginning of more wins for Ivanovic. When she gets back to playing as well she looks on the court, she’ll be hard to beat!
