Elena Dementieva loses in 2nd round of 2008 WTA Rogers Cup

Fifth seeded Russian cutie pie, Elena Dementieva, was beaten out of the 2008 WTA Rogers Cup in Montreal, Canada being played Jul 28-Aug 3. Her opponent was 31st ranked Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia.
Elena lost the match 4-6, 2-6. She had a BYE in the 1st round, so she actually lost her 1st match of the tournament. It was a disappointing loss for Elena, who is seeded # 6 in the world. Hopefully she can make a better showing at the U.S. Open later this month, just like she is making a good showing here at the beach.
