Maria Kirilenko wins in 2nd round of 2008 Banka Koper Slovenia Open

Number 1 seed, Russian cutie pie, Maria Kirilenko, was a winner in the 2nd round of the 2008 WTA Banka Koper Slovenia Open. The tournament is being played in Portoroz, Slovenia July 21-27. Maria easily defeated 167th ranked Roberta Vinci of Italy, 6-1, 6-2.

Maria’s next opponent is also from Italy, 56th ranked Sara Errani. Sara has lost in the 1st round of the three Grand Slam tournaments played so far this year. So Maria should not have a problem defeating her as well. Go Maria!
