Maria Kirilenko wins 1st round at 2008 Rogers Cup

Russian cutie pie, Maria Kirilenko, is the 13th seed at the 2008 WTA Rogers Cup being played July 28-Aug 3 in Stockholm, Sweden.

In the first round, Maria defeated 80th ranked Anne Keothavong of London, England 6-1, 7-5.

Maria’s 2nd round opponent will be 122nd ranked Stephanie Dubois from Canada. Maria should do well in her next round.
