Daniela Hantuchova loses in 2nd round at 2008 Bank of the West Classic

Slovakian cutie pie, Daniela Hantuchova played in the 2008 WTA Tour Bank of the West Classic tournament being held in Stanford, California, USA July 14-20.
Daniela had a first round Bye. She then lost to Ai Sugiyama of Japan in the second round, 3-6, 1-6. Sugiyama is ranked 38th in the world, so she was a tough opponent for 12th ranked Daniela.
That was a disappointing loss for Daniela, and not a confidence builder with the U.S. Open coming up in August. Hopefully she will have better days ahead.
